Midlas’ disability advocates provide individual advocacy, guidance and support to people with a disability, their carers and families with advocacy, support and case management. Assistance includes advocacy with NDIS appeals in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

Legal Assistance

Midlas’ lawyers provides free legal assistance and advice in the areas of Family Law (children’s issues), Family Violence and Criminal Injuries Compensation.

Tenancy Advocacy

Midlas tenant advocates provide individual advocacy, education and support for residential tenants.

Financial Counselling

Midlas’ financial counsellors offer free services to help you address financial problems, provide you with options to make informed choices and build longer-term capability to budget and manage money, including reducing or removing debt.

Financial Capability and Well-being

Midlas’ financial capability team provide individuals and the community with tools and skills to be financially resilient through financial literacy education, coaching and workshops on financial resilience. The Work and Development Permit Scheme is delivered through Midlas’ Financial Capability and Well-being service.

Energy Ahead

Midlas’ energy ahead team provide a free program, available to low-income Synergy customers, to help them learn how to save energy and reduce electricity bills at the same time.
