The National Indigenous Consumer Strategy is a strategy developed by all Australian States and Territories which, together with New Zealand, make up the Legislative and Governance Forum on Consumer Affairs.

The original strategy was released in 2005 after consultation with Indigenous consumers, and both government and non-government agencies involved in delivering services to indigenous consumers.

The strategy’s aim is for Commonwealth, State and Territory consumer agencies to work together to improve outcomes for Indigenous Consumers with the direction to promote basic consumer rights, build knowledge, confidence and awareness to action consumer rights, improve access to consumer protection services and improve market outcomes for Indigenous consumers.
