• Assist people on low income to identify strategies and options that will assist them to overcome financial stress.
   
• Assist with budget preparation and skills to enable individuals and households to overcome financial strain.
   
• Advocate and negotiate with a range of creditors in order to assist clients in debt, including those who are facing legal action.
   
•  Assist with ‘hardship applications’ in regard to the Consumer Credit Code and early release of superannuation.
   
• Assist people through the process of bankruptcy including provision of relevant information required by law and support with filling in the forms.
   
• Ensure that clients are able to access relevant entitlements and rebates that will ease the pressure on household budgets.
   
• Liaise with a range of government and non government organisations in order to assist our clientele with debt issues.
   
• Provide community education and speak to groups in regard to a range of financial counselling issues.
